  1. I am an enthusiastic photographer, I.T. Director, husband and father living in Southern California. I have one son who is living in San Diego. Spending most of time at local Botanic Garden. I had a trip to Cambridge UK last year when I got one day open slot while on business trip to London. Lovely town.
Great images with 40mm f2.8. For me, this small lens was always backup purpose.
    Thanks for sharing.

    • Charles! It’s a small world for sure. Thanks for your kind words!
I’d taken the 50L out to the gardens a few days earlier and found that I preferred the shots with greater depth of field, so I thought I’d take the 40mm out and try some similar shots to see how well it compared, and I think it stands up pretty well! It might look a bit goofy on a large DSLR, but it’s a lot of lens for the money, I reckon.
Glad you enjoyed Cambridge – I’ve been here for too long now and I feel like the town is being spoiled by too-rapid development. Itchy feet.
      Best wishes,
      Al
